Deanna Frances Tausch

Deanna Tausch (formerly Deanna Frances) is a native of Shabbona, Illinois, and has been performing in the local area for several years. She recently earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education from Northern Illinois University (NIU). During her collegiate career, Deanna performed in several ensembles including the NIU Chamber Choir, NIU Concert Choir, and the NIU Opera Theatre Chorus. She has been featured as a soprano soloist for several choral orchestral works such as Franz Joseph Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, and Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat, and she is currently a member of the professional vocal ensemble, Cor Cantiamo, of DeKalb, Illinois. Deanna has also been featured in several local musical theater productions. Her performance credits include Ellen in Miss Saigon (CCT of DeKalb), Liesl in The Sound of Music (Sandwich Opera House), and Jan in Grease (Stagecoach Players). She will be teaching music full-time at a local public school this upcoming fall, and teaches private voice lessons. Deanna continues to reside in her hometown of Shabbona, Illinois, where she lives with her husband.
