Marybeth Kurnat

Marybeth Kurnat (soprano) is an educator, adjudicator and composer/arranger in the Chicagoland area, with a performance background in voice, theater and instrumental music.  She holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Northern Illinois University, where she studied saxophone with Steve Duke and voice with Diane Ragains.  Marybeth is currently the Music Department Chair at Cambridge Lakes Charter School.  She teaches beginning band and choral music for grades 3-4, and as a private woodwind instructor.  She performs with the St. Charles Singers, the Canterbury Singers and the Grant Park Chorus, and is a section leader for the Chicago Choral Artists.

This is Marybeth’s second season performing with the DeKalb Municipal Band.
