A Sycamore native, soprano Terri Crain Goodman is a graduate of Sycamore High School and Northern Illinois University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in both Music and Vocal Music Education.
Goodman taught choir and general music in the Mt. Morris, Oregon, and Sycamore school districts for 26 years. An accomplished pianist, she has also served as an accompanist and musical theater camp instructor. She is currently a private voice instructor and serves as the parade chair for the Sycamore Pumpkin Festival.
She is extremely active in the theater, having both directed and held starring roles in numerous plays and musicals over the past 40 years. Terri is a Stage Coacher of the Year recipient and appeared most recently as "Marmee" with the Stage Coach Players of DeKalb in their production of "Little Women”. She is currently serving as the Workshop and Black Box Chair and recently finished serving a term as their vice president.
She and her husband, Ken Goodman, Sycamore High School band director, have one daughter, Alise. She is excited to be performing with the DeKalb Municipal Band for the 10th time.
